Airfoil conceptualized, scripted, shot, and created extensive graphics for 11 humorous video segments inspired by the mockumentary “This Is Spinal Tap.” Our work helped keep the audience engaged, entertained, and inspired throughout the two-day event.
Airfoil developed a themed logo, custom “rock tour” t-shirts, platinum records, posters, event booklets, backstage passes, an official playlist, and themed gift bags for all attendees. These creative elements brought the theme to life, delivering a fun and unforgettable experience.

Award-winning creative partnership
Motus is a global manufacturer of automotive products with facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia. The company’s annual conference brings together leaders from around the world to highlight recent successes, honor top performers, and set the strategic course for the year ahead.
After conducting the conference virtually in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, Motus was eager to bring everyone back together for an in-person event in Las Vegas.
As Motus’s creative partner for the event, Airfoil was tasked with making the 2021 conference an affair to remember. We devised an engaging event theme, videos, and multimedia materials that reflected the company’s fun-loving culture – and celebrated the fact that Motus was getting the band back together.
You rock, we rock, let’s rock
Our theme, tagline, and creative elements needed to do more than bring the event to life. They had to inspire and unify Motus’ global efforts throughout the year. Our messaging and logo celebrated Motus’s “reunion tour” and gave the company’s 3,000+ employees a fun rallying cry for 2021.
Turning the event up to 11
Airfoil scripted and drove creative direction for 11 videos to introduce event speakers and elevate the energy in the room. Inspired by “This Is Spinal Tap,” our videos told the story of Motus’ legendary history, complete with dozens of retouched images placing Motus executives in iconic rock photos.
Breaking the fourth wall
With creative and consistent theming, Airfoil made every attendee feel like they were part of something bigger. Our custom “tour” t-shirts, rock-themed posters, event playlist, gift bags, walk of fame, and team-building exercises helped elevate the event into an interactive and immersive experience.
