I bring best practices and strategic insights on the changing landscape of new and emerging digital media,
across Airfoil’s client portfolio.
Why did you choose a career in digital?
Well it started in design, then code, then moved to strategy. My career has always gravitated toward creating marketable products, and now I’m excited to invest my energies in helping my clients bring their own products to market.
What is the best thing about working with tech brands?
They are constantly having to evolve to say relevant. This means the really strong tech brands do more listening than talking, embrace failure, and learn to do more with spare change than most non-profits.
What is the one thing clients always ask you?
Clients are looking to stand out from their competition and often ask – “what approach is most disruptive?”
What’s the most embarrassing moment in your career?
I was touring a few campuses, speaking about design as a career. Ann Arbor and Lansing were back to back. I was on Michigan State’s campus and like an idiot, thanked U of M for welcoming me. Let’s just say the rest of my presentation had me digging out of the hole I put myself in.
What is your favorite piece of technology?
My iPhone X & Kindle.
What is your dream vacation?
Nepal. Monks. Hiking. Quiet. No BMWs or Starbucks.
What is your favorite hobby?
Woodworking. Painting. Remodeling. Photography. They’re even across the board, but remodeling is most profitable!
