As Airfoil’s Senior Art Director, I am responsible for any and all art direction on behalf of our clients, from conceptual approach to final creative deliverable.
What is your area of focus/what teams do you work with?
I have 25 years of big agency experience both as an art director/ designer and have worked on all kinds of accounts from financial, healthcare, paint, education, government, manufacturing, automotive to start-ups and hospitality firms. The experience and knowledge gained from deep immersions in all kinds of businesses have been most rewarding. I look forward to bringing a fresh, creative lens to my work at Airfoil.
What’s the best thing about working at Airfoil?
The best thing about working at Airfoil is this new experience with PR and digital start-ups. It’s a unique and fun environment. The sheer professionalism here is impressive.
Why did you choose art as a career?
I went to college to paint large format abstracts and came out of the University of Michigan as a fledgling designer. Now 25 years later, I still love the discipline, problem-solving and working with great writers to bring creative concepts to life.
When or where are you your most creative self?
I’m most creative every morning when drying my hair or driving. I’ve solved most problems that have been challenging me during the workday. A step away from the creative can help.
Favorite place you’ve visited?
My family moved to Palm Springs when I was 18 and I’ve never stopped loving it. The mountains surround you and the quiet is everything.
How many hats do you wear? What are they?
The hats I wear -I’m a mom, wife, designer, and typemonger. Our kids are the coolest and have followed the family business as pro creatives.
