I write, edit, generate coverage ideas, and help figure out which media outlets are the best fits for our clients’ stories.
What is your area of focus / what teams do you lead and/or work on?
I used to write about technology for WIRED, CNET, PCWorld, and TechTV. I’m abnormally interested in anything that executes code or has a chip or motor in it. That comes in handy around here.
How long have you worked at Airfoil?
I’m the agency’s newest hire
What’s the best thing about working at Airfoil?
The people and the teamwork. I’ve already learned a lot in a short amount of time. Everyone is smart, hardworking, humble, and friendly.
Why did you choose marketing as a career?
When you write about tech for a living, you quickly realize the value of having trusted people getting you the right information quickly. That can make or break a story, and you take note of who does it well. Airfoil was one of the best agencies I worked with as a writer, and I’ve always been fascinated by how the “other side” worked. Now I get to find out.
What’s the best thing about working with tech brands?
They routinely create things that seemed impossible 12 seconds ago.
What’s the most embarrassing moment in your career?
Any time I have posted anything on Twitter.
What’s your favorite piece of technology?
Any device with Spotify on it. Music is really, really good. It’s going to be the next big thing. You should check it out.
Favorite place you’ve visited?
The pyramids in Egypt. Or maybe New Orleans. Or maybe upstate Michigan for a wiffle-ball tournament. It’s a three-way tie.
