What is your role at Airfoil?
My title is content strategist but the reality of my role is creating compelling content that drives people to action.

What is your area of focus / what teams do you lead and/or work on?
As a member of the services team, I touch nearly every account at the agency.

How long have you worked at Airfoil?
4 years

What is your biggest client win?
I love it when a client reads something I write and tells me I really understand his or her voice or really get their brand. That’s a win for me every time.

Why did you choose marketing as a career?
Marketing chose me, really. I started as a writer and the way the industry has shifted has turned nearly every writer into a marketer. Content marketing is the way the world is going. I’m glad to be at the forefront of that trend.

What’s one thing clients always ask you?
Should I be promoting my content with paid social? The answer is always an affirmative YES!

What’s the most embarrassing moment in your career?
I interned at a public access show in college. We had a local celeb come in and we’d gotten halfway through the interview before I figured out we weren’t recording. Needless to say now I always check multiple times for the red light.

Favorite place you’ve visited?
Charleston S.C. – it’s one of those unexpected gems – a great mix of old school and high tech.

Best advice you’ve ever gotten?
Don’t think you have to be all of one thing. Life is a chance to wear many hats and look good in them all.

When or where are you your most creative?
On early morning walks. I do my best thinking before the rest of the world wakes up.
