What has been your favorite client interaction?
Watching Josh Toplosky teach Jimmy Fallon how to fly our client’s drone and then racing them for the first time on air. TV magic.
What is your biggest client win?
I love when I can translate the vision for a new technology into a tangible, delightful or surprising new experience for a reporter. That moment when the light goes off, and they understand the potential or the value of a new technology, you know you’ve created a believer and an advocate.
What’s the best thing about working at Airfoil?
So called “Get you fired” ideas have a home here. They are encouraged, nourished and many times are the ones that move our clients ahead when executed.
What’s the most embarrassing moment in your career?
I was hosting a “ride and drive” to demonstrate new connectivity features of a vehicle and mid-way through the 40-minute drive, the features just stopped working. I was already nervous about driving a group of tier 1 automotive reporters, and then to have to troubleshoot the technology while navigating the winding California mountain roads and also representing the now non-working features was truly stressful. Still managed to get some decent coverage.
What’s your favorite piece of technology?
FaceTime! I love to FaceTime with my kids when I’m traveling. It’s so much more engaging and easier for them to connect than through a phone call alone.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m terrified of monkeys. Terrified.
