Detroit – January 3, 2006 – Airfoil Public Relations, an independent, technology-based public relations agency providing public relations counsel and marketing communications services to high-tech companies, announces the addition of Heather Horne, Gary Pardo, Christa Shalhoub, Sarah Ceranski and Kim Watts to its account services team. Horne will assume an account executive position, while Pardo and Shalhoub have joined Airfoil as account coordinators. Ceranski and Watts are joining the Airfoil team as administrative account coordinators.

Heather Horne joins Airfoil’s business-to-business practice area. Prior to joining Airfoil, Horne worked at Schwartz Communications, Inc. where she represented a variety of high tech clients. In this role, she participated in numerous successful product launches and targeted media and analyst campaigns, ran local programs in conjunction with doctors and patients for medical clients, and assisted in the planning and booking of press tours and trade shows. Horne graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Mass. with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Gary Pardo joins Airfoil’s business-to-business practice area. Preceding Airfoil, Pardo worked at Momentum Worldwide as a sectional tournament manager. In this role, he was responsible for organizing and coordinating the Sectional Championships for the Buick Scramble. Pardo earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan.

Christa Shalhoub also joins the business-to-business practice area at Airfoil. Before coming to Airfoil, Shalhoub worked at Ford in the public affairs department, where she was responsible for responding to media requests and questions. Shalhoub graduated from the University of Michigan – Dearborn with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.

Sarah Ceranski will support the business-to-consumer practice area at Airfoil. Prior to joining Airfoil, Ceranski worked at the American Cancer Society, where she assisted in event planning and provided strategic support for key income development initiatives. Ceranski graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a bachelor’s degree in communication.

Kim Watts will support the agency’s business-to-business practice area. Before coming to Airfoil, Watts worked in the corporate reputation department at Fleishman-Hillard St. Louis, where she was responsible for media relations, research and writing. Watts graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising.
